TRANSIT THROUGH ST MAARTEN AIRPORT (SXM)
In addition to the restrictions and requirements previously stated, a mandatory electronic pre-arrival health authorization form for St Maarten EHAS must be submitted when passengers transiting through the airport. The test result must be uploaded on their website and acceptance received must be shown to the health authorities at St Maarten Princess Juliana Airport (SXM) before boarding the plane. Without a health acceptance form, boarding will be refused. Fully vaccinated travelers with a booster and fully vaccinated children under 17 years old, do not have to upload test result on this website. Unvaccinated travelers 5+ years old are required to submit a negative PCR test taken within 48 hours (2 days).
FULLY VACCINATED ARE CONSIDERED:
• 2 shots from Pfizer vaccine, Moderna vaccine or AstraZaneca vaccine with the last one taken 2 weeks before your travel.
• 1 shot of Johnson & Johnson vaccine taken 4 weeks before your travel.
• 1 injection is necessary for people with a history of Covid-19 completed 2 weeks before your travel.
Please note that health authorization approval can take up to 12 hours. The form must therefore be submitted immediately after receiving a negative PCR or Antigen test. If notification is not received in 12 hours, it is advised to check your spam email. This form must be submitted for travel in both directions, except when returning to the USA (it is not necessary at this time to upload the test for your return trip).
It is not mandatory to purchase health insurance for Saint Maarten if you are in transit. However, if you stay overnight in St Martin, you will be required to purchase travel insurance for the cost of $30. Upon purchasing this insurance, you will receive, via email, an entry health authorization to be completed.
TRANSIT THROUGH SAN JUAN AIRPORT (SJU)
All travelers in transit via San Juan are required to have a negative PCR test taken within 48 hours (2 days) prior to departure or a negative Antigen taken within 48 hours (2 days) prior to arrival or a Covid-19 vaccination card by CDC. All travelers 2 + years old are required to complete a travel declaration form entering Puerto Rico only if staying overnight.
ONCE ARRIVE IN SAINT BARTHELEMY:
All travelers are free to move around the island, no quarantine is necessary. Masks are not required in public spaces such as supermarkets, boutiques, airports, restaurants, offices and banks.
TRAVELING BACK TO UNITED STATES
Effective December 6th, 2021, travelers 2+ years old returning to the United States of America are required to show negative PCR or Antigen test taken within 24 hours (1 day).

HOW TO GET TESTED AT YOUR PRIVATE VILLA?

GOT POSITIVE COVID TEST RESULT IN SAINT BARTS?
If a travelers test shows a positive result in Saint Barthelemy, it will be required to self-isolate for 7 – 14 days in a villa/hotel until cleared by a physician to travel again. Please note that you will be required to pay for your own accommodation while in quarantine or you can be moved to a free facility by the stadium in Saint Jean where you will be monitored until you have no signs of symptoms.
Those travelers whose conditions worsen will be transported by medical charter to a larger hospital with superior appliances in Saint Martin or Guadeloupe. Note that medical charters are the patient or family/friend’s expense. Friends and patient families are obligated to travel on their own, they cannot be transferred together with the infected traveler as the planes are designed to have the patient in a lying-down position with plastic cover protection and oxygen.
